Delete Your TOEIC.ai Account

You can delete your account yourself, on the web or in the app. You get 7 days to change your mind. After that your account is erased and cannot be brought back.

✓ Last updated October 27, 2026

The Short Version

  • Where: Account page → Danger zone → Delete my account.
  • Grace period: 7 days. Your account is locked during that time, and you can restore it.
  • After 7 days: your email, your sign-in and everything you wrote or recorded are erased. Scores and payment records are kept only in anonymised form.
  • Subscription: it stops renewing as soon as you ask for deletion.
  • Can't sign in? Email hello@toeic.ai and we will delete the account for you.

Delete on the Web

  1. Sign in at app.toeic.ai.
  2. Open your Account page and scroll to Danger zone.
  3. Select Delete my account and read what will happen.
  4. Type the email address of your account to confirm.
  5. If you like, tell us why you are leaving. This is optional, and the answer is stored without any link to you.
  6. Confirm. You are signed out, and the sign-in page shows the date your account will be erased.

Delete in the Mobile App

In the TOEIC.ai app for Android or iOS, open Account and select Delete my account. The steps, the 7-day grace period and the result are the same as on the web.

The 7-Day Grace Period

For 7 days after you ask, your account is locked but not yet erased:

  • You are signed out on every device, and you cannot practise or take tests.
  • We stop sending you emails, apart from the ones about the deletion itself.
  • You are hidden from leaderboards.
  • If you sign in, you see only Restore my account. Restoring puts everything back as it was, and if your subscription was renewing before, it renews again.

When the 7 days are over, restoring is no longer possible. We erase your data and then send one last email to confirm that it is done.

What Is Erased and What Is Kept

ErasedKept, anonymised
Your email address, password and sign-inScores, answers chosen and time taken, under a random id that cannot be traced back to you
Your written Speaking & Writing answers, recordings, transcripts and AI feedback textStudy plan, practice and vocabulary progress, under the same random id
Bookmarks, saved drafts, your profile photo and leaderboard entriesStar ratings you gave to mock tests, without the comment
Messages you sent to support, and the text of question reports and review commentsQuestion reports, without your name, email or message
The emails we sent youPayment records (amount, date, currency), because we must keep them for accounting

Anonymised data is kept because it shows us which questions are badly written and how hard each test is. It no longer says anything about you.

At Stripe, our payment provider, your name and email are removed from your customer record. The invoices themselves stay, because tax law requires them.

Backups

Our database has automatic backups, and we do not edit them. Data from your account stays in those backups until they expire under their retention schedule, and then it is gone. Backups are used only to recover the service after a failure, never to bring back a deleted account.

Your Subscription

When you ask for deletion, your subscription is set to cancel at the end of the current billing period, so you are not charged again. If you restore your account within the 7 days, the subscription carries on as before.

Can't Sign In?

Write to hello@toeic.ai or use the contact page. Write from the email address of the account, and say that you want the account deleted. Once we have confirmed the account is yours, we start the deletion for you. The same 7-day grace period applies. We reply within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
